We rarely close on account of weather. When Winter Storm Ion hit a few weeks ago, however, heavy snow, poor visibility, and frigid temperatures prompted us to cancel services. Our policy in such matters is safety first. Wardens and Rev. Mary will make such decisions together and then use a variety of means—e-mail, website, Facebook, public media—to spread the word. Please be alert to such postings and assist in passing the word by phone to those who might not use the Internet.
If you are wary of traveling on any given Sunday, please heed your instincts. Remember God is with you wherever you are, in the church building or at home. Remember also to pray for those who must be out, for whatever reason.
